Multidisciplinary Artist

Shaped by a deep passion for creating,

I like to make things that makes you ponder, wonder and wander.

Poponut is a self-taught multidisciplinary visual artist based in Singapore. Poponut’s works are distinctly based off eccentric, surrealist, non sequitur ideas, often inspired by the vivid visuals from her dreamscape. With experiences in many different crafts, Poponut can pick and create any ideas of her dreams.

At 14, she picked up dressmaking herself and tailored costumes as a side income while schooling. One of her project was a set of commissioned costumes for 2016 Singaporean cosplay-themed film, “Young and Fabulous”, where the costumes she designed and made were donned by actress Joyce Chu.

After Graduating with a double diploma in Events management and Fashion technology, Poponut then spent the next 5 years of Livestreaming her journey as an artist, while practicing the different crafts and specifically painting. In one of her works, Poponut created a captivating live performance titled, "Corndog", attracted many fellow aesthetes, as well as curious viewers to watch the 5 hour ephemeral art.

He’s a frog like thing with beautiful lumps and big dreams.

The first batch of Gordos were born and distributed at Twitchcon San Diego 2022.
